Born in Naples Italy and surviving the brutality of WWII, Dominick Sebastopoli, fought through hard times as he helped support his widowed mother and his younger siblings.. He worked hard as an auto mechanic in Italy repairing Fiat cars. In his early 20’s, he migrated to the US and became an US citizen in 1953. He then met Giovanna Signorella in a movie theater in Little Italy NYC in and they married in 1956. Shortly after, he was hired as a field utility mechanic in Brooklyn Union Gas. He was a loving and devoted husband and father of three children, Steve, Clemente and Angelina. He passed away in 1996 after his battle with cancer.
